About JUNIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST: REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

The Real Estate Financial Analyst will support the acquisition, development and financing activities of our growing hotel and multi-family residential real estate development company, including:

  • Review and analyze quantitative data, investment documents and other material to due diligence new real estate development projects; 
  • Assist in underwriting new investment and development opportunities through the preparation of detailed financial and valuation analyses, lender and investor presentations, property summary books and new business presentations; 
  • Create and update sophisticated financial models using Excel and ARGUS to value and determine the feasibility of new development, acquisition and disposition opportunities on a levered and unlevered basis; 
  • Evaluate a wide range of investment scenarios using complex modeling techniques, including recapitalization, NPV, IRR, cash flow, sensitivity, profit distribution, waterfalls, etc.;
  • Produce and assemble packages and supporting data for investment and financing presentations, including quarterly and annual reports;
  • Support the company development team in on-going project management; and 
  • Maintain on-going current market knowledge.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or Business.
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or Business (preferred).
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of direct work experience in Finance, Real Estate or Investment Banking is highly preferred;
  • Direct experience in underwriting and managing multi-family and retail real estate investments;
  • Superior Excel and ARGUS modeling skills and experience;
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications;
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and collaborative “team player” skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Spanish language skills a plus;
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written; and
  • Professional demeanor and desire to succeed in a challenging environment.
