About REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT JUNIOR ASSOCIATE

The Junior Associate prepares meeting agendas and briefings, maintains meeting notes, and arranges for implementation of action items. Maintains a task list of requests, and updates based on progress and communicates regularly on those advancements. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage zoning, entitlement, and permitting activities
  • Perform underwriting process, including analysis of market information, operational expense data, and estimated hard and soft costs
  • Supports and/or administers projects or processes for division/department.
  • Review and analyze engineering and architectural construction plans and contract documents
  • Assist with the development of budgets and timelines for the various stages of acquisition and development.
  • Coordinate with project consultants during the due diligence process including architects, engineers, appraisers, market analysts, surveyors, title companies, etc. as necessary
  • Ability to lead and guide the production of documents, contracts and presentations.
  • Collaborate with various teams to execute the company directives, while balancing multiple organizational priorities in our fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Real Estate, Finance, or Investments with relevant real estate development experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture
  • 3 years related professional experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate, hospitality, residential & mixed-use
  • Advances proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with Revit
  • Experience working on project teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong design skills in all phases of work and production
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Handle confidential information meticulously; escalate any required information with discretion.
